What data do we collect

The app generates a random distinct id when it is installed which is used to track usage. It associates actions made by the user on the app to this distinct id. The actions that are collected include refreshing the news feed, clicking on a specific article, looking up a Chinese word dictionary entry, translating a phrase or looking up the description of a news source. Metadata associated with the actions are also collected. For example, the action of clicking on a specific article will also result in the url, language and tags of the article being collected.
